Flu

Have no idea how I catches the flu. Might be due to the weather I guess? Flu is not a sickness to me until it causes dizziness and teary eyes when the mucus started to block your airway and sinuses. I have not gotten the chance to rest completely. Instead I played captain ball and make myself more exhausted. Thus, there goes my endless sneezing and nose blocking the whole day.

Went to The Gardens today with lovely friends. Saw this cute bacteria plush toys at a shop name "Action City"

This is called the flu bacteria. So cute rite? Make his sin forgivable. T.T Because of you, I felt dizzy all day long!

After that we went Tong Pak Fu for dessert. Went few times and the desserts was okay. Lacking of the "wow" factor in terms of the taste. But it is still quite a place to go if you are into snow ice. A bit pricey though.

Went to Watson to buy a new cleanser and decided to try Naruko brand. The founder of Naruko is a famous beauty expert: Niuer from Taiwan. He has been to numerous beauty show on television, magazine etc. I have heard about this product few years back but it was not easily available in Malaysia back then. You have to buy it online. But now it has been taken in and sell in Watson as over the counter product. I bought the Rose & Botanic HA Aqua Cubic Foaming Wash.

This is the packaging and i love the simple yet gorgeous design of it. This series is mainly for hydrating purposes and is suitable for dry skin. I have combination skin but since I will be in Scotland for 3 months, I figured my skin would thirst for water due to the weather. They have other series for normal and oily skin too. You can check them out at Watson outlets. Their packaging is very environmental friendly too. There is an instruction leaflet inside the box on how to turn the box into a pencil holder! How creative is that. The price is affordable to most female out there. I guess I will have to use it to see whether the this product suits me or not. Hope it wont fail me!

I dislike changing facial product after product because it is a waste of money and also resources! How I wish I have natural beauty skin like the Koreans! Nahhh~ Dream on Elyn.. Their food and weather are the vital factors for their porcelain skin! Which I cannot control!!!

Leaving

In another 2 weeks time, I will be leaving to Scotland for my research. Funny, I actually don't feel like leaving homeland to somewhere where people say is a nice place.

Home is always the place you go whenever you feel lost.
Home is always the place you find comfort and safety.

Though sometimes the people inside may be annoying. But somehow they are the people that you can rely on most of the time. I will be missing them dearly when I'm alone out there.

I will be missing each and every single person here. It's not like I will be there for years. Yet, I'm more to a person who prefer to stick to places I am more comfortable at.

Maybe I'm afraid of missing things after I left. Maybe I should learn to look more to the positive side. People do not have the chance to see what is happening there. Some who can afford cant have this chance just because their other half could not live one day without them.

I need to be more contented like what my friend kept telling me.
Try to more positive.
Learn from mistakes and do not be afraid to ask.
All this might be a tips for me when I'm out there in a foreign land.

Hopefully my team mates would not fail me and at least be responsible of their own. I would, from now on, be nice for whatever reason in order to make this a pleasant trip. Many concerns always run through my mind before bed. Whether my money would be enough? Whether anything might be shorted? Whether I would be able to finish my work in time?
Guess I should just passed all that and think of it when it really happened?

All is well my friend.

Tension

half way through preparation of presentation script.
although there is still time left but the exhaustion after working makes me feels like there will be little time left for everything to be perfect.

I will be working at Beauty Expo at PWTC for 3 days. There are 3 brands namely Alissi Bronte and Alqvima from Spain and Phytomer from France. Will update more on what I have learnt from the experience of explaining beauty products which I myself couldn't imagine using it due to its overwhelming prices. (but what you pay is what you get because of its quality, which you can truly see its results in less than few minutes!! No kidding!!)

These are the essential oils from Alqvima. They have special energy though, like some sort of "Qi" due to its 100% natural originality. (will research more on that.. )

That is a quick and short update. Gonna have a good night sleep for another full day at work! Ciao.

The Land of Tom YuM

I was actually writing my to-due-soon-report and really fed up with the intermittent interruption, therefore I decided to take a break from it and update my blog.

I just came back from Bangkok with friends and also love. First time went overseas with him and I can say that he is really a good travel partners apart from the business minded brain freak. The last time I went was 10 years ago and I really do not have much memory except how I look at that time. ( I do not wanna have that memory either @.@) We went for a total 3 days and is expecting a low budget trip.

Before departing to Bangkok. With Le friend and partner..

The first day was supposed to visit the Grand Palace but we ended up got scam by the tuk-tuk guy. Long story short, never take a tuk-tuk anymore. Just decided where you want to go and take a metered-taxi if the place is not accessible by BTS or MRT. Also, never read the map while you are walking or standing, as all these scammer will identify you and start approaching you! We initially thought that we were lucky to met all those friendly people but they all turned out to be their accomplices as well! But still luckily we only got cheated 40 baht. So I'm still okay. Is the time that has been wasted!

We manage to rent a private boat which is 1500 baht per boat (it's cheap if it is shared among few people) and look along the Chao Phraya River. The wind was rather strong that time and at some point I thought the boat might overturn! A bit scary to me..
building along the river

another boat on the river

there are tons of temple in Bangkok!

Le me in the boat!

One thing I like about Bangkok is the food! Their BBQ are just awesome! Almost every stalls selling BBQ meat is nice. The meat is just juicy and tender (sorry to the vegetarian ). One of their famous street food should be the pork meat balls which contain stuffing inside. I cant tell what is the stuffing inside but one of it is sticky rice and chopped onion.

A cute little yogurt drink I found in 7-11
Their 7-11 is so compact and sell a lot of stuff compare to ours. Their instant food tasted surprisingly nice! T.I actually bought their fried rice and ate it as supper. He was screaming about how nice the fried rice was when I was brushing my teeth.. and is in 3 am in the morning.. You can imagine how good is that?  There are books and magazine in the 7-11, they also sell CD and DVD too!!
random drinks bought on the street while walking and they tasted nice FYI

Clockwise from Top left: Tom Yum Seafood, View from Chao Phraya River, Salted BBQ fish stuffed with lemongrass (this is unbelievably awesome!!!), View from a bridge in Pratunam.

T.I decided we should try out their Swensen Ice cream and to be honest I have never try one in KL either.  And guess what! it is cheap in Bangkok!

Finally a photo of T.I and me! in the middle of the street of Pratunam!

Thai Mcdonald and me in cap (first time in cap)

My second day in Bangkok was spend entirely in the mall, specifically Platinum Mall. It is a wholesale mall for clothing. (now i know where all the online boutique clothes come from!) It has 6 floors and the highest floor is the food court. In Malaysia, food in food court are normally not as good compare to the retail restaurant but this is opposite in Bangkok! The food in the food court is nice! and cheap too. It is cheaper compare to the one sell on the street. The rest of the floors are mainly selling clothes. T.I was dragged by me floor to floor to hunt for clothing. The price range is between 200-450 baht per piece for individual. But if wholesale price will be lots cheaper of course. Happy with my hunt and went back with an extremely tired legs.

Overall the trip is good. Lot of research need to be make if you are going free and easy. However, first time travelling overseas with a partner consider as acceptable. I believe there will be next time and more to come. Will learn from mistakes and improve in the future trips!

Night peeps..
Hope you have a great trip too!
